The Visakhapatnam class are the follow on of Kolkata Class destroyers.
These are largest front line warships built for Indian Navy.
The ships have a full load displacement of 7450tons, an overall length of 163m and top speed exceeding 30 knots.
The ships are propelled by COGAG propulsion system.
The vessel is capable of operating in all domains of warfare (Surface, Anti-Submarine and Anti-Air).
Equipped with state of the art weapon and sensor fit.
The weapon and sensor suite comprises of Long Range Surface to Air missiles, Long Range Surface to Surface missiles, Anti-Submarine Rocket launchers, Torpedoes launchers, Close in weapon system and MR Guns.
